I
was born on 23rd December 1970 in Calcutta. It was an evening at Lady Duffrin
Hospital on a chilly December evening that I saw my first light.
My
name "Subrata" was kept by my sister as it was one of her favourite poem
characters at school. This was clicked when I was around 1 year old

This
photo was taken when I was nearly 2 years old and was taken by my father
on our terrace. My mother and sister are accompaning me.
Our
house was a rented one near Moulali. |

This photo was clicked at
a studio in central Calcutta when I was 4 years old. This was the photograph
of my first ID Card. I studied in St. Paul's Mission School located at
Scott Lane in Central Calcutta. In school I had a nickname 'Lilliput' as
I was very short. |

I
preferred wearing western outfits and particularly caps.
The
cap I am wearing here was my favourite one and I lost it when one day I
went to the museum.

There
were no fancy toys, lavish gifts, chocolates, ice-creams and kiddy goodies
but all through it was a nice experience. I was a sports addict during
my young days and cricket and football were my passion, but mostly indoors. |
